Could this be the world's most expensive apartment?

Could this be the world's most expensive apartment?

Ever wanted to travel the world from the comfort of your own home?  Well, an opportunity to do exactly that has come to market. The World, a converted ocean liner whose cabins were recently converted into 165 luxury apartments is offering a 3-bedroom apartment that could cost its new owner upwards of $13-million dollars.

The ship travels to some of the most exclusive destinations around the globe, recently travelling further south than any other ship, reaching the Bay of Whales in the Southern Ocean.  The 2017 itinerary will see the ship visit Hawaii, Alaska, Central America and East Asia before heading to Miami for New Year’s Eve.

On the surface, this ship does look like any other cruise liner, but once on board the differences are quite easy to see.  Each apartment has been specified by the owner, and they’re free to include any comforts they’d expect to have in their home on the land.  The 3-bed apartment for sale offers a full kitchen with the latest appliances and a master suite with his and her bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes and a dressing room.

Once outside of your apartment it will feel like you’re on a permanent holiday.  Guests have access to a wide variety of restaurants as well as a wellness centre, spa, large gym and the world’s only floating full-size tennis court.

To add to the whole experience, guests are given the opportunity to attend three major expeditions throughout the year.  With the ship visiting some of the most remote parts of the world, guests have the chance to go on-land with experts in mountaineering, wildlife and extreme weather. Lectures and discussions take part before-hand in the ship theatre to give guest the training and background knowledge to make the most of these excursions.

With apartments in such short supply, and a long waiting list for places, it’s hard to know just how much apartment 801 could sell for.
